Goal 1: Recruit, Matriculate and Retain Qualified Diverse Applicants

Goal 2: Prepare Physician assistant students to practice in Interprofessional healthcare teams.

  1. 100% of each class will participate in at least 1one interprofessional team.
  2. Through simulation and/or clinical rotations members of each class engage with members of the healthcare team.

The program meets this goal by each class engages in interprofessional activity didactic instruction in in the Interprofessional course (DEH 2810L).

The program achieves this goal by ensuring that, during the clinical year, each class encounters interprofessional teams through simulation and/or clinical rotations.

  2. Maintain an average PANCE score above 400, for each graduating class. The program defines a PANCE score of 350-400 as satisfactory medical knowledge, 400-450, as above average medical knowledge and >450 advanced medical knowledge
  3. Maintain a PANCE 5-year performance average within 5% of the national rate.
Outcomes 1

The program defines a first-time pass rate within 5% points of the national average as a program strength. The program currently meets this goal.

The Class of 2020 (10%) and 2022 (6%) are currently outliers. A possible contributing factor to this was COVID19 as there were impacts on clinical rotations and the didactic method of instruction.

Outcomes
