Dear MDC family,
Thanksgiving is truly one of my favorite holidays, because gratitude is possible for all of us. No matter where you are, regardless of your religious beliefs, your socioeconomic status, there is always something to be thankful for.
I want to take this moment to tell each and every one of you how much I appreciate you, what you do, and your dedication and contributions to our beloved institution. You are the reason our students achieve their dreams and MDC continues to shine brightly. They are your why and you are my why.
I know this year has been challenging for many of you on a personal level. It has certainly challenged us as an institution to evolve and find new, innovative ways to better serve our students. I have visited our campuses, met with our outstanding faculty, students and staff and I can’t tell you enough how immensely impressed I am. We have come so far and we’ve done it together.
So, this Thanksgiving, as you gather around the table with your loved ones, remember that you are also part of a larger MDC family. And know that I will be thinking of you when I say grace.
