Dear MDC family,
On Memorial Day, we honor the brave women and men who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for the safety and freedom of our nation. We owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to all those heroes who fought for our country and whom we could never repay for their bravery and dedication. The courage and selflessness of these individuals in uniform are the reason why we enjoy so many rights and liberties today as a nation. Memorial Day is also a time to reflect on all our veterans and active-duty military personnel. In fact, more than 750 MDC students are active-duty service women and men or Veterans of the United States military.
In honor of those military service members who have fallen, are missing, or imprisoned, all campuses at Miami Dade College will have a “Missing Man Table.” Please stop by the table to learn about this special military tradition and remember those who have sacrificed their lives for our freedom. Other ways to commemorate and learn about this day of remembrance may be found at https://sharknet.mdc.edu/news/226242.
