Dear MDC family and friends,
As Dr. Montoya shared in his message earlier today, I too am grateful for all of you and your unwavering commitment to Miami Dade College.
It is a privilege to lead MDC alongside each of you who truly make our College a special place. I am overwhelmed with gratitude from all the calls, emails, and notes that I have received. Thank you.
As I prepare to start in January, I am planning to host a series of forums to meet each of you and listen to your hopes, ideas, and aspirations for how we can build MDC's future together. Your insights and unique experience will be instrumental in steering us through the challenges ahead of us. These include challenges brought about by the widespread impact of COVID-19 as well as the secondary effects of the pandemic with the acceleration of education technology and the rapid digitalization of the American workforce.
Working together, in the midst of these challenges, we will seize them as opportunities for the College. I am thankful to be a part of such a determined and motivated team with a heart for academic excellence and student success.
Whether you are gathered around a shared table or a shared screen, I wish you and your family a safe and Happy Thanksgiving.
