Jason Palmer is a renowned trumpeter, composer and educator who has recorded and toured in over 40 countries with notable saxophonists such as Mark Turner, Greg Osby, Grace Kelly and Matana Roberts. He has performed with jazz legends including Roy Haynes, Wynton Marsalis, Kurt Rosenwinkel and many others.
Jason has recorded 20 albums under his own name and performed as a sideman on over one hundred albums. His quintet was the house band at Boston's historic Wally's Jazz Café for 20 years and he has presented his band at numerous renowned venues and festivals across the United States.
Jason serves as assistant professor of ensembles and brass at Berklee College of Music, jazz trumpet professor at the New England Conservatory of Music and the Ravenscroft visiting Jazz Artist at Arizona State University. He has held teaching positions at Harvard University, the JazzCampus in Basel, Switzerland and the New School of Jazz and Contemporary Music in New York City.
All concerts are free and open to the public. Live performances will take place at Wolfson Campus Auditorium, 300 N.E. Second Ave., Miami, FL 33132. Building 1, Room 1261. Performances will be livestreamed, except for the student ensembles.
