Guitarist and composer Sebastian Noelle has spent much of his life between his native Germany and his adopted home of New York City.

His album Shelter has been praised in the New York Times for its ‘embrace of both lyrical intricacies and rockish swagger.’

Noelle’s music brings together diverse influences, inspiration from documentary film and German literature and his studies of North Indian rhythms.

Since arriving in New York in 2002, he has performed with notable musicians at various New York Clubs and jazz festivals around the world. He has worked with James Argue’s Secret Society (appearing on four Grammy-nominated recordings) and Chris Potter, Ingrid Jensen, Donny McCaslin, Vijay Iyer and Dan Weiss.

He has released four CDs under his own name on the European FreshSound-NewTalent label and teaches at Hunter University New York as an adjunct professor.

All concerts are free and open to the public. Live performances will take place at Wolfson Campus Auditorium, 300 N.E. Second Ave., Miami, FL 33132. Building 1, Room 1261. Performances will be livestreamed, except for the student ensembles.
