Born in Miami, Haitian-American Claudens Louis is a saxophonist, educator, composer, producer and active performing artist. He conducts clinics and masterclasses at several universities and music programs and currently serves as Miami Arts Charter School's jazz director.

Louis has performed in different countries as an American Music Ambassador for the U.S. Department of Educational and Cultural Affairs and has performed with artists including nine-time Grammy Award winner Shaun Martin of Snarky Puppy, the Snarky Puppy horn section, Jason Derulo, Wyclef Jean, Victor Wooten, Stefon Harris, Warren Wolf, Drew Tucker, Black Violin, PostModern Jukebox’s Sarah Reich and Prince’s MonoNeon. He also is the bandleader of his own group, The CieL Experience.

He continues to impress audiences around the world with his high-energy performances, distinct style of improvisation and original compositions. Louis recently released his sophomore album of original works, entitled Influences, in January 2025.

All concerts are free and open to the public. Live performances will take place at Wolfson Campus Auditorium, 300 N.E. Second Ave., Miami, FL 33132. Building 1, Room 1261. Performances will be livestreamed, except for the student ensembles.
