Teacher Apprenticeship - Baccalaureate Program

This two-year apprenticeship program combines college coursework, mentoring, and paid on-the-job training designed to prepare participants to become highly qualified and effective teachers employed by an approved school site in one of the following career pathways:

• Early Childhood Education
• Exceptional Student Education
• Secondary Mathematics Education, 6-12
• Secondary Biology Education, 6-12

Program Details:

To participate in the Teacher Apprenticeship Program, an individual must have:

1. Received an associate degree from an accredited postsecondary institution
2. Earned a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher in that degree program
3. Successfully passed a background screening pursuant to law
4. A five-year nonrenewable temporary teacher apprenticeship certificate
